Proposition 8

personal, politics, youtube

Has passed – and that just goes to show that our nation doesn’t have the ability to move forward. It seems in every generation we have a civil rights movement that needs to happen, to give someone their rights. Americans have had to ask themselves, are black’s equal? Are women equal? And now they are asking themselves are gays equal.

That’s now how things are supposed to be. It should be a simple choice, yes, and it is written in the constitution.

What about those women and men who were married? Successfuly. Has California exploded? Is there a wave of crime from Lesbians? Is that the reason that the Mormon Church spent so much money to have this simple request stamped out? Could the dress makers not keep up with women wanting to marry, or were there not enough suits for the men?

I don’t understand how these men and women can bring it upon themselves to do gods work. God judges in the end if being homosexual is a sin, not the people on this earth. You don’t get to judge one thing, and completely ignoring that you’re passing around hate and in the end will probably end up burning right next to me.

I can’t believe that California passed it. I’m beyond disbelief at this point.

I’ll be making a future post on the exit polls and the demograph (blacks) that voted in excess of proposition 8. I’m appauled that a community that has easily had one of the roughest times in the history of America, could so easily vote to do that to someone else.

I live in California and both my the brothers are Gay. I find it appalling that they won't let the gays have the rights to a happy marriage that they deserve.
